Ingredients
- 2 lbs Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
Step 1: Slice the Potatoes
- Peel the potatoes.
- Cut them into slices about ¼ inch thick using a knife or slicer.
Step 2: Soak the Potatoes
- Put the slices in a bowl.
- Cover them with cold water.
- Soak for 15–30 minutes.
- Drain the water and dry the slices well with paper towels.
(This helps make them crispy.)
Step 3: Season the Potatoes
- Put the dried potato slices back into the bowl.
- Add olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Mix well so all slices are coated.
Step 4: Air Fry (First Batch)
- Place half of the potato slices in the air fryer basket (7-qt or larger).
- Try to keep them in one layer (a little overlap is okay).
- Air fry at 380°F for 12–15 minutes.
- Shake the basket every 5 minutes.
- Check after 12 minutes. The potatoes should be golden, crispy outside, and soft inside.
Step 5: Air Fry (Second Batch)
- Remove the cooked potatoes and keep them warm.
- Repeat the same process with the remaining slices.
Step 6: Serve
- Serve immediately while hot.
- Enjoy with dill aioli or your favorite dipping sauce.
